2018 USA Powerlifting Open (Equipped) Nationals in Spokane, WA

 We are excited to host the 36th USA Powerlifting Open Nationals.   This annual event will spotlight the top equipped powerlifters in the country while they battle it out for opportunity to be selected for international level teams and events.   2018 is the first year a USA Powerlifting event of this level will be hosted in the heart of Spokane, WA.

Women’s weight classes: 43kg (Teen/Jr), 47kg, 52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 72kg

 Saturday May 19, 2018

Session I – Morning Session
Women’s weight classes: 84kg, 84+kg

Session II – Afternoon Session
Men’s weight Classes: 53kg (Teen/Jr), 59kg, 66kg, 74kg, 83kg

Sunday May 20, 2018

Session I – Morning Session
Men’s weight classes: 93kg, 105kg

Session II – Afternoon Session

Men’s weight classes: 120kg, 120+kg


Spectators:  admission at the door  $10/day or $25 for the 3 day event.  Cash only please.

Lifters  who wish to attend the days/session they’re not competing in will be provided admission at no charge.

Coaches:  Each lifter may register ONE coach for a discounted  pass (coach purchases $10 admission only). Lifter must provide coach’s name on entry form.  Additional coaches passes will be $20/day or $50 for an all event/all access pass.  All coaches passes will be available at registration booth.



All athletes, coaches and officials will be able to pick up their access wrist bands at the registration desk starting on May 17th, 2018  All participants will need to get their wrist bands prior to accessing the warm-up area or venue.  Lost wrist bands cannot be replaced and will need to be re-purchased if lost.

Coaches Passes

All Coaches must register with current 2018 USA Powerlifting membership number.

Photography & Media

  • No professional video equipment will be allowed in the auditorium
  • No professional photography is allowed.
  • No soliciting of photo or video services is allowed on the premises.
  • No camera bags, tripods and other equipment is allowed in the auditorium. No cameras with detachable lenses
  • Spectators who have purchased a ticket are allowed access to the event with one (1) camera only. Camera must be a “Point and Shoot” camera (no detachable lens)

World renowned Powerlifting Photographer Adam Palmer and his 9for9 Media team will be the contest photographers.  Complete information about  photograph and video packages available can be found at the 9for9 Media website.    Trey Cunningham will be providing Live Stream of the event including lifting and live interviews with your favorite athletes and coaches.  Live Stream links to be posted as we near the event.
