NPC Empire Classic – National Qualifier!

Established in 2002, The Empire Classic has been a popular attraction for the Northwest physique community for more than a decade. The event attracts bodybuilders, fitness, figure, bikini and physique competitors and fans from hundreds of miles away. In 2011, fitness horizons were broadened with the introduction of the Pro Deadlift as part of the event finale, in which five top powerlifters were brought on stage to battle for cash prizes in a massive display of strength. The new addition was a hit and stimulated new interest in the Empire Classic from the strength community. In 2013 the Empire Classic was expanded with the addition of the outdoor Fitness Expo. The expo incorporates CrossFit, Powerlifting and Strongman events to provide a venue and opportunity for people of all levels of strength and experience to participate. Our goal is “Something for everyone” whether you are a competitor or a spectator of strength sport.

USA Powerlifting Empire Classic Hosted by Danna Snow & Spokane Powerlifting Click here for event details and entry forms – Limited to 120 lifters!   Click Here for Facebook Event Page

Powerlifting comprises three lifts: the Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. Powerlifting competitions may be comprised of one, two or all three of the lifting disciplines. Athletes are categorized by sex, age and bodyweight. Each competitor is allowed three attempts at each lift, the best lift in each discipline being added to their total. The lifter with the highest total is the winner. In cases where two or more lifters achieve the same total, the person with the lightest bodyweight wins. The USAPL Spring Power Challenge is a Push/Pull event and will include Bench & Deadlift, Bench Only and Deadlift Only events.
